You are surely familiar with ‘shallow’ personalization. You know, those messages that contain your name – in the subject line or in the body of an email.
This can be very useful to get your attention. But shallow nevertheless.
And now, deeper personalization is possible because the choice of which message templates to use is based on rules that you define. The depth you go to is completely up to you.
It is also possible through the use of “template functions”, which can pull fields from related records, enabling rich, dynamic content.
A mortgage example may be something like: “Please advise if Katie Travis, who is in escrow for 162 Morgan Drive, San Francisco, CA has returned the Statement of Information”. In this example, the email is sent to the Escrow Agent, but refers to the borrower, Katie Travis, and the specific address being applied for.
