Rule conditions determine whether a rule fires for a specific record or not.
You can ensure that targeted emails are sent, by crafting the rule conditions to match the scenarios in your business, and applying targeted content.
For example:
- Rule 1 may fire on ‘Rating equals Warm’ and send emails appropriate to warm leads
- Rule 2 may fire on ‘Rating equals Cool’ and send emails appropriate to cool leads
This assumes, of course, that you want different things to happen (eg. different email content to be sent) for warm and for cool leads.
So emails with content related to a warm rating are sent – via Rule 1 – to recipients that are marked in Salesforce as “Warm”. And emails with content related to a cool rating are sent – via Rule 2 – to recipients that are marked in Salesforce as “Cool”.
The above condition is simple – based on just one field. You could have more complex conditions based on multiple fields.
This is an example of how you target specific recipients using BizConnector rules.
